ABOUT
I'm a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Illinois. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 22 years with experience in emergency medicine, women's health, neonatology, and psychiatry. I offer psychotropic medication management as well as trauma-focused psychotherapy. Utilizing a holistic approach, I provide treatment for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related disorders. Each client's treatment plan is highly individualized and developed utilizing a shared decision-making model.
As a mental health professional, my primary objective is to establish a secure and non-judgmental space for my clients. I believe in meeting my clients where they are; and collaboratively, we will develop a treatment plan that aligns with their values and goals.

My healthcare background and expertise in trauma recovery enable me to provide dedicated support to clients on their journey toward healing. I offer a variety of modalities, including EMDR, Trauma Resiliency Model, and Safe and Sound Protocol, with options for traditional one-hour therapy sessions or extended EMDR intensive services. EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy is a highly effective treatment for individuals struggling with overwhelming experiences that have become stuck and prevent them from moving on. Together, we will identify the images, negative beliefs, feelings, and body sensations associated with these experiences. Applying bilateral brain stimulation allows the brain to reprocess and store these experiences in a healthier, more profound way. With EMDR, the brain essentially heals itself and helps individuals get unstuck, move forward, and find relief from their physical and emotional distress.
EMDR Intensives
EMDR intensives are extended therapy sessions designed to facilitate deeper work in order to achieve faster healing and relief from symptoms. We meet for 1-4 days of EMDR therapy, and each day is booked as a 2, 4, or 6-hour session.
